  • Air properties and their influence upon the refrigeration system
  • Why evaporator coil matches are critical
  • How to calculate the theoretical capacity of a saturated refrigeration cycle
  • How suction pressure and discharge pressure changes affect the system capacity
  • How TXV metering provides better overall control
  • How suction lines drop system capacity
  • Troubleshooting the evaporator circuit using suction vapor superheat measurements
  • Identifying metering piston problems
  • Diagnostic test procedure: TXV and EEV
  • Suction line sizing procedures
  • Troubleshooting condenser coil circuits including parallel and subcooling loops
  • Liquid subcooling levels
  • Liquid line sizing, lift and distance limits
  • Pressure drop limits and identifying restrictions
  • Charge procedures for fixed and TXV systems
  • Analyzing the complete system & making a confident diagnosis
  • Evacuation procedure
